We are generally most impressed by how someone looks rather than looking and finding out who’s on the inside, we often say ‘don't judge a book by it's cover’, but really we usually make our assumptions based on the outside appearance. This song is a social commentary and questions these attitudes and behaviours most often seen in our society.
lyrics
We're always caught up with the visual
Attracted to the look of the physical
Aesthetically pleasing, emotions our feelings
Life is more than we see
Money, class and pride is elitist
It breaks the world into fragmented pieces
Still I hear voice of the wise
Life is more than we see
Is beauty in the eye of the beholder
The window to your soul the truth it will tell ya
Don't judge a book by it's cover ….no
Life is more than we see
Life ……… Life ……
Life is more than we see
Life it’s More Than We See …. What do we see? When you meet someone and take that first glance and you know what mean ….just sum up the person.
Well you see whatever it is …. It's still our responsibilty to find the best in people, to look deeper, look beyond their faults, forgive, forget, let's build bridges don't make fires, let's love and then love just a little bit more and more ….
Don't judge a book by it's cover
We gotta give Love a chance if we wanna move this world on.
